Spreading Easter Joy

The Henry Project recently had the privilege of organizing an Easter Program in a small village outside of Lviv, Ukraine. Despite the ongoing war in the country, we wanted to give the children a taste of what Easter festivities are like in other parts of the world.

In Ukraine, Easter is celebrated on a different date and in a unique way compared to other countries. Nonetheless, we decided to introduce the children to a new and fun Easter tradition. The Easter Program included activities such as coloring Easter pictures, learning fun songs in English from the Easter Bunny, and participating in an exciting egg hunt.

The children had a blast hunting for eggs and discovering treats inside them. To top it all off, the Easter Bunny also handed out delicious cupcakes to the children, who were overjoyed to experience Easter in a new and enjoyable way.

Living in a country at war, these children have faced immense challenges and fears, including air raid sirens and nighttime shelter visits. The Henry Project is grateful for the opportunity to bring some light-heartedness and joy into their lives, even if just for a day. Every child deserves a happy and healthy childhood, and we are honored to be able to provide them with special moments like these.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated and supported this Easter Program. Not only was it a memorable experience for the children, but it also brought joy and fulfillment to our entire team. We are committed to continuing our efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by the war in Ukraine. Let’s keep spreading love and hope amid adversity.
